Residential options for seniors in Charleswood are virtually non-existent. The shortage of adequate and appropriate housing has impacted mobility for elderly residents, including those within the Charleswood 55+ community. This has also made it difficult for many to live and age-in-place in the community that they have spent most of their lives.

The residential development at 363-365 Oakdale Drive will include a variety of rental suites including adaptable and universally accessible suites that will address the housing shortage for the 55+ community as well as address design features intended to support resident health.
